Weights & Cardio & Core I June 25th
It was certainly a warm one this morning! Today's Weights & Active Rest class had us all glowing as we moved through our strength work with active recovery periods in between. A great way to build strength, improve fitness, and keep energy levels steady on a hot summer's day.
Weights & Cardio & Core I June 18th
Today's Weights & Active Rest class focused on building strength, stability, and resilience throughout the whole body. We paid particular attention to strengthening the lower back and supporting muscles of the core, helping to improve posture and everyday movement. There were plenty of plank variations to challenge balance, endurance, and deep core engagement, along with tricep push-ups that definitely tested both strength and determination! While these can be tough, every modification and every rep contributes to building upper-body strength and confidence. The active rest intervals allowed us to keep moving, recover wisely, and maintain energy throughout the session, leaving us feeling stronger, more capable, and accomplished by the end. 💪✨

A lovely mix of strength, cardio and core work today. We started with our 1-minute weight sets before moving into a variety of bodyweight and cardio exercises to get the heart pumping, strengthen the core and leave us feeling energised for the day ahead. 💪😊
Weights & Cardio & Core I June 6th
Today's Strength, Cardio & Core class is structured with 1 minute of each strength exercise, followed by 45 seconds of movement — whether that's cardio, core work, or an additional strength challenge such as an elbow plank.
You can approach the workout in whichever way suits you best. Complete the first round using your warm-up weight and the second (and final) round using your training weight, or choose a medium weight and use it consistently throughout both rounds. For example, if your warm-up weight is 2kg and your training weight is 3kg, you may decide to use 3kg for both rounds.
Listen to your body, work at a pace that feels right for you, and choose the option that allows you to maintain good form while still feeling challenged.

Today’s Weights & Active Rest class focused on building strength through the upper body and core, with plenty of attention on the triceps and abdominals. We combined controlled strength work with active recovery intervals to keep the body moving, the heart rate gently lifted, and the muscles working without overloading the system. A strong, steady session designed to improve posture, core stability, arm strength and overall functional fitness.

A nice strong session after the Bank Holiday weekend. We mixed it up with single and double weight exercises, with options to increase your weights if you feel like pushing a bit more.
You can give it your all or keep things at a lower intensity — completely up to you.

Today’s Sweaty Weights & Active Rest class is all about building strength, raising the heart rate and leaving you feeling energised. We’ll move through a mix of weighted exercises with active recovery periods in between to keep the body working throughout. Ideally, have a variety of weights available so you can challenge yourself as needed, but whatever you have to hand is perfect — as long as you’re pushing yourself in a way that feels right for you, that’s what matters most.

Back to it this morning with our Strength, Cardio & Core session 💪
A little sweaty, a little tougher than usual after the break… but so good to be back moving again. We mixed things up with a blend of single and double weight exercises alongside some energising cardio bursts — a lovely way to wake everything back up.

A bright spring morning and you could feel it in the energy today — the sunshine really does make those early starts that bit easier. We moved through a lovely mix of strength work using one and two weights, keeping things steady but effective, with a few well-placed core exercises woven in. And a gentle reminder that your core is always working during your weights, supporting you through every movement. A really balanced, feel-good session 🌞

This morning’s Strength & Active Rest was all about strong, supported shoulders and layered plank variations. We worked through challenge and recovery in equal measure — building strength without rushing, finding steadiness in the holds, and reminding the body what it can do.

We got the body going with one of my favourite warm-ups, which I’ve been using a lot lately on mornings when I’m not doing a specific class — just enough to get me moving, especially if I’m feeling a bit tired. Try it.
We moved through a mix of 1 and 2 weight exercises, with options for higher or lower intensity active rest throughout.
