Cardio, Core & Strength Class | June 20th
Sunny, sweaty Friday!
This morning's cardio, core & weights session hit just the right spot—energising without wiping us out. I'm getting seriously hooked on Zone 2 training lately... always buzzing afterwards instead of the crash I used to feel with HIIT. Don’t get me wrong, HIIT has its place, but there’s something about that steady, feel-good burn of Zone 2 that’s winning me over more and more.

Conscious Non-Resistance
This slow flow class will invite you to consistently scan your body during gentle movements and stillness to discover messages it has for you. Rather than resisting, the invitation is to let go, surrender and let life flow through you as you flow through life. This practice is mainly floor based using body shapes and body weight to discover tension and mindfully ask it to release. A block may be handy for this practice and a cushion for support or more comfort.

We turned up the intensity in this morning’s strength class by using two weights instead of one for many of the exercises—hello, burn! 💪 I’m hoping my schoolgirl error of accidentally toggling off the mic over the weekend (which left it completely dead this morning) didn’t take away from the flow of the session. The air was thick and so was the effort! We moved through a steady mix of low-impact cardio, core-focused work, and some solid strength moves. A sweaty one from the start—but we paced it well, kept it controlled, and finished strong. A great way to shake off the heaviness of the morning.!.

New Term, Strong Start 💪
We kicked off this morning with a sweaty Strength session—no better way to greet a new term! As always, we eased in with a warm-up weight before progressing to two solid rounds with our training weight.
The goal? To feel the movement, feel the burn, and finish stronger than we started. Here's to a season of building strength from the inside out!

🧘♀️ Slow Start – Deep Stretch & Awareness
To ease us into the new term, this morning’s class was intentionally slow and grounding. We focused on long-held, deep stretches to help us tune into our bodies and notice where we might be holding tension or in need of a little extra care. No props were needed, but a belt or scarf could come in handy for added support in a few poses.

Feel Into the Form
This morning’s practice invited a deeper connection to your body by focusing on sensation over shape. After a gentle warm-up with attention to ankle mobility, we moved mindfully through Trikonasana (Triangle), Virabhadrasana II (Warrior 2), and Prasarita Padottanasana (Wide-Legged Forward Fold), encouraging awareness and presence in every transition and stillness.
