Pure Weights I June 29th

Today's strength class focused on lots of single-arm exercises. At first glance, working one side at a time can make a workout look easier, but don't be fooled! Unilateral training challenges balance, stability and coordination, while also highlighting and helping to correct strength differences between sides.

By the end of the session, those muscles definitely knew they'd been working. We finished with two abdominal exercises to really fire up the core and leave us feeling strong from head to toe.

A tough but rewarding workout—well done everyone!

Pure Weights – Monday

Today's Pure Weights class focused heavily on single-arm exercises, challenging strength, stability, balance, and coordination throughout the body.

Don't be fooled into thinking that working one arm at a time makes things easier! Unilateral training often requires the core and supporting muscles to work even harder to keep us stable and aligned. It can also help highlight and address strength imbalances between the left and right sides of the body.

A strong, focused session that challenged both body and mind while building functional strength for everyday life.

Pure Weights I Apr 27th

Well done today everyone — that was a very strong session. We mixed 1 and 2 weight exercises throughout, challenged the triceps in plank, worked those cactus arms, powered through sit ups, and gave the whole body a proper test. A tough class with great effort all round. You should feel proud of yourselves today.

Pure Weights I Apr 20th

A gentle return to strength today 💪

We moved through three rounds — beginning with a warm-up to wake everything up, then into our training, and finishing with a short round where it all came together without pause.

A lovely way to ease back in… especially if, like me, you’ve had a little break from weights. Just enough to feel the work, without overwhelming the body.

Consistency over intensity always wins ✨

That sequence kept growing today and I know it wasn’t easy. But those are often the most empowering sessions — when we stay with something that feels challenging and discover we’re stronger than we thought.

Lovely work this morning. That was a full body weights session with very little rest in between, so your muscles got a proper challenge from top to toe. You stayed with it all the way through — strong and steady.

A stronger sequence this morning — steady tempo and controlled reps. Remember, strength fluctuates day to day. One session never defines your progress. Showing up does.

Pure Weights I Feb 23rd

Today’s Strength class was all about laying solid foundations for the week ahead. We focused on controlled, purposeful movements — building strength steadily rather than rushing through reps. A little lower body work to ground us, some upper body to lift us, and of course a steady core to hold it all together.

No drama, no frenzy — just strong, capable bodies doing what they’re designed to do.

If you showed up this morning, you’ve already set the tone for your week. And if you’re catching up on the replay, the door is still wide open.

Strong start. Steady mind. On we go.

Today’s strength class was a good one — solid, steady and definitely challenging in all the right ways. We built heat gradually and then leaned into it… especially with that bicep sequence. I suspect there may be a few reminders of it tomorrow 😉

Pure Weights I Jan 5th

This morning’s Pure Weights class focused on a mix of single-weight and double-weight exercises, with a bit of tempo play to really feel the work and improve control. I’ve just started the HBD reset, so I chose lighter weights than I’d normally use, which also made it a nice opportunity to focus on form, time under tension and moving with intention rather than load.
