Weights & Cardio & Core I May 12th

Today’s Weights & Active Rest class focused on building strength through the upper body and core, with plenty of attention on the triceps and abdominals. We combined controlled strength work with active recovery intervals to keep the body moving, the heart rate gently lifted, and the muscles working without overloading the system. A strong, steady session designed to improve posture, core stability, arm strength and overall functional fitness.

Today’s weights class focused on upper body strength, with shoulders, biceps and triceps all getting plenty of attention. We also revisited the narrow upright row — an exercise we haven’t done in quite a while! A strong, steady session with lots of controlled movement and mindful form throughout.

Today’s Sweaty Weights & Active Rest class is all about building strength, raising the heart rate and leaving you feeling energised. We’ll move through a mix of weighted exercises with active recovery periods in between to keep the body working throughout. Ideally, have a variety of weights available so you can challenge yourself as needed, but whatever you have to hand is perfect — as long as you’re pushing yourself in a way that feels right for you, that’s what matters most.

We mixed 1 and 2 weight exercises throughout, challenged the triceps in plank, worked those cactus arms, powered through sit ups, and gave the whole body a proper test. A tough class with great effort all round. You should feel proud of yourselves today.

A little sweaty, a little tougher than usual after the break… but so good to be back moving again. We mixed things up with a blend of single and double weight exercises alongside some energising cardio bursts — a lovely way to wake everything back up.

We moved through three rounds — beginning with a warm-up to wake everything up, then into our training, and finishing with a short round where it all came together without pause.

A lovely way to ease back in… especially if, like me, you’ve had a little break from weights. Just enough to feel the work, without overwhelming the body.

Today’s Strength class was all about laying solid foundations for the week ahead. We focused on controlled, purposeful movements — building strength steadily rather than rushing through reps. A little lower body work to ground us, some upper body to lift us, and of course a steady core to hold it all together.

No drama, no frenzy — just strong, capable bodies doing what they’re designed to do.

If you showed up this morning, you’ve already set the tone for your week. And if you’re catching up on the replay, the door is still wide open.
