Chair Fitness for Older Adults

3 week chair fitness term commencing Wednesday 7th February at 11.30am

What to Expect

Chair fitness is a gentle practice in which movements are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. All my classes, whether chair or mat based will help improve your overall wellbeing. We move our bodies to great music, we learn awareness of core & posture, we build strength, we build heat, we get fit and we have the chats after. Social wellness is one of the 5 pillars of wellbeing after all :-) I love teaching this class as it is warming to the cockles to see improvements in everyone every week. What to Expect in my Classes: 🌬️ Pranayama : We will explore the world of breath with various forms of pranayama, enhancing our lung capacity. 🧘 Gentle Movements: We will gently move but listen to our bodies at all times. 💪 Strength and Core Awareness: We will build strength while gaining a keen awareness of our core and posture – the foundations of a resilient body. 🎶 Lively music: We will move to the rhythm of lively well known music that adds an extra layer of fun to our practice. 🗣️ Post-Class Chats: Because, let's face it, social wellness is one of the 5 pillars of wellbeing after all :-) 📆 Mark Your Calendar: Our 3-week term kicks off on Wednesday, February 7th, at 11:30 am. Please come a few minutes early to choose a seat, get settled & be ready to start our chair fitness practice at 11.30am sharp. Any questions, please feel free to call, text or email me.
